Sigma BF Camera Wins “Good Design Gold Award” and “Minister of Economy, Trade and Industry Award”
The Sigma Corporation is pleased to announce that Sigma’s full-frame mirrorless camera [Sigma BF] has won the “2025 Good Design Gold Award” and “Minister of Economy, Trade and Industry Award.”
The Good Design Gold Award is presented to designs recognized as particularly outstanding among the “Good Design Best 100” selected for 2025.
The Minister of Economy, Trade and Industry Award is given to Gold Award winners that are deemed to make a special contribution to Japan’s economic development. This year, out of 19 Gold Award recipients, 3 were further honored with the Minister’s Award.
This marks the fourth consecutive Gold Award received for Sigma’s digital camera products, following the Sigma fp, sd Quattro series, and dp Quattro series.
We will continue our pursuit of the highest image quality and remain dedicated to developing photographic equipment that prioritizes fundamental performance and brings true value to our customers.

If the concept of a “digital camera” did not exist today, and only the technology of “taking photographs” were known, the tool created for that purpose might have taken the form of the Sigma BF.
It possesses a freshness reminiscent of the impact felt upon first encountering the iPod or iPhone, and embodies a beauty that arises from pure dedication to its purpose.
The essence of the Sigma brand is clearly embodied here: an idea that places the lens at its core, refining the camera body to the utmost degree and elevating its purity even further. It is a product that rekindles the long-forgotten excitement of encountering truly inspiring product design.

About Good Design Award
Good Design Selection System (or G Mark System), was founded in 1957 by the Ministry of International Trade and Industry (the current Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry), and has been engaged in this work for about 60 years. Submissions come from a wide range of fields, and roughly 1,200 designs are recognized every year. Over 59 years, around 43,000 designs have been recognized by the awards. Recipients of a GOOD DESIGN AWARD are granted use of the G Mark symbol, which has been an emblem of good design for over half a century.
